Choreographer

DESCRIPTION: Create dances that are original and/or develop different interpretations of existing dances. Choreographers invent, direct, and teach routines for various performances or auditions. 

REPORTS TO: Director 

EXPECTATIONS: 

• Create dance routines that work with the music and lyrics of the production or performance 

• Read through the script and interpret each song to create dance sequences that match the song and interpret a story   

• Design movement as part of a scene or transition as needed 

• Attend rehearsals to ensure everyone has a clear understanding of the routine, follows the original interpretation, and perform at the same level
