Dance Captain

DESCRIPTION: A dance captain is someone who looks after the show from a choreographic point of view on a day-to-day basis. Duties may include helping with auditions, teaching the choreography, conducting understudy rehearsals.  

REPORTS TO: Choreographer and Stage Manager 

EXPECTATIONS: 

• Assist with casting and rehearsals as needed 

• Learn all choreography 

• Coordinate the warmup time during the run with stage management 

• Conduct warmups prior to each performance  

• During the run of the show, keep the choreography as true to the original as possible
