Assistant Stage Manager

DESCRIPTION: The ASM will be required to help the stage manager in accomplishing their tasks. The Stage Manager and Show Producer will determine timeline and scope of responsibilities based on the needs of the specific production.  

REPORTS TO: Stage Manager 

EXPECTATIONS:  

  • Attend rehearsals as assigned by the SM 

  • Attend all technical rehearsals 

  • Attend all performances 

  • Perform tasks as assigned by the Stage Manager (to include, but not limited to setting up the stage for rehearsal, keeping track of properties, taking notes, giving lines to actors, and running sound cues.) 

  • Coordinate the backstage crew and operations during tech week and performances

9 Weeks Before Opening: Play Discussion

4 Weeks Before Opening: Company Meeting/First Rehearsal (if needed)

Attend rehearsals as needed by the production

1 Week Before Opening: Final rehearsals, Paper Tech, Looks & Levels, Q2Q

Week of Opening Tech, Dress Rehearsals, Performances
