Deck Crew

DESCRIPTION: The Deck Crew are the crew members that power the scene changes, prop handoffs and onstage “magic” for each production. This may include, but not limited to, moving scenic units, operating flying scenery, striking and setting of props on stage, and so on. It is expected that each running crew member attend crew orientation, all tech rehearsals, and performances.. 

REPORTS TO:  Assistant Stage Manager and Stage Manager  

EXPECTATIONS: 

• Tech and Performance: 

• Attend Tech Rehearsals and Performances as assigned 

• Report to Stage Manager at specified call time 

• Sign in on callboard 

• Perform a system’s check and troubleshoot as needed 

• Assist with the preparation of the theater space prior to each technical rehearsal and performance Perform other duties as assigned by the Stage Manager. This may include mopping and sweeping the stage, getting water for the actors, presetting properties, and checking running lights.
